Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
PPN Learn Community Guidelines
Welcome to the PPN Learn community. These guidelines are designed to support a respectful, professional, and safe environment for learning and collaboration. By participating in discussions, forums, messages, and other activities on PPN Learn, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines and the PPN Learn Code of Conduct .
Communicate with the same care, respect, and professionalism online that you would use when working with colleagues in person.
Respect and Professionalism
Written communication can sometimes lead to misunderstandings. Communicate clearly, respectfully, and thoughtfully. Emojis may help convey tone, but they do not excuse rude, harmful, or offensive behavior.
Treat all PPN Learn users, contributors, instructors, and staff with respect. PPN Learn content may address complex or sensitive topics related to pediatric emergencies and disaster preparedness. Open discussion and differing perspectives are welcome when expressed professionally and with consideration for others.
Feedback and Constructive Criticism
Constructive feedback is encouraged and can strengthen content, ideas, processes, and the overall learning experience. When providing feedback:
- Focus on the work, idea, or process—not the person.
- Use specific, respectful, and actionable language.
- Do not belittle or shame others for mistakes, questions, or gaps in understanding.
- Consider providing potentially sensitive or individual feedback privately.
- Seek clarification before assuming another person’s intent.
- If an interaction becomes unproductive, discontinue it instead of escalating the conflict.

Protect your privacy and the privacy of others. Do not post confidential, sensitive, or personally identifiable information without appropriate authorization.
Information You Should Not Share Publicly

Resolving Issues and Reporting Concerns
Disagreements may occur in an online community. Before assuming harmful intent, seek clarification and respond calmly and respectfully. Do not respond to conflict with hostility, harassment, threats, or other inappropriate behavior.
If an issue cannot be resolved safely and respectfully, stop the interaction and report the content or conduct to the PPN Learn team through the Contact Us page.
Information to Include in a Report
When possible, provide the following information to help the PPN Learn team review the concern:
- A link to the relevant post, message, course, or activity
- Screenshots or copied text documenting the concern
- The visible username or display name involved
- A brief description of what occurred
- Any other context that may assist with the review
The PPN Learn team will handle reports as discreetly as reasonably possible and will take appropriate steps to protect the privacy of the individuals involved. Information may be shared with those who need it to review and respond to the concern.
Review and Enforcement
Reported concerns will be reviewed using these Community Guidelines and the PPN Learn Code of Conduct . The nature, context, severity, and frequency of the reported behavior will be considered when determining an appropriate response.
Every member of the PPN Learn community contributes to creating a respectful environment where people can learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas safely.
